Hello all.
Today I have for you a nail polish that was a long waited one. Some say it is the re-release of the cult Jade that drove all nail polish maniacs crazy, others say it is a close one. So ladies- here it is : Chanel Fraîcheur #767.
Chanel Fraicheur #767 is a nail polish considered to accompany a new perfume released by the brand – Chance Eau Fraiche. The color is a mint one with blue-ish shimmer which quite unfortunately is more visible in the bottle than on the nails. After applying the first coat it was all so watery, streaky and see-through, and I thought: “Pff, another nail polish that requires at least 4 coats to not have VNL…”. But!!! On the second coat it was almost perfect- it leveled up nicely, no streaks but I still saw a VNL so I decided to apply a 3rd one. And voila- it all looked awesome.
For this particular mani I combined it with another Chanel nail polish- Vertigo #563.
To be honest Chanel Fraicheur #767 looked kinda familiar to another nail polish I have – Dior Waterlily #504. I also pulled out two OPI nail polishes that are in the same color scheme – OPI You Are So Outta Lime! and OPI Damone Roberts 1968. Dior Waterlily #504 is the closest one- almost the same mint green with the same blue shimmer which is actually even more visible in the bottle. The 2 OPI nail polishes do not have any shimmer; they are creme and the Damone Roberts 1968 one is actually the same mint green as the Chanel Fraicheur just no shimmer. OPI You Are So Outta Lime! is more bright and quite different with no shimmer.
So my verdict – if you are a Chanel-oholic or a nail polish addict- get it! Otherwise the Dior Waterlily is almost a perfect dupe. Some sources say it will be in the permanent line, others say it is a limited edition. For now it is sold online on Chanel’s webshop in the USA, and in some stores in France, Belgium and Italy.
