So the spring has come, and gone, and now is the summer. So here it is a manicure I did with Picture Polish Spring.
Picture Polish Spring is a light lilac/ or dusty pink/ with scatter holo flakes. It was released this year -2016, with 4 other shades: Posey, Merge, Gala and Bluebird. The pictures are with 3 coats that wore well and no chipping or problems until I changed the nail polish.
I also did some reverse stamping with the pineapples, and added the Aloha- I think it calls for summer, not spring
China Glaze Lite Brites- Let’s Jam and What I Like About Blue!
I did this manicure some time ago but I just saw I never posted it on the blog, so here it is.
China Glaze Let’s Jam is from the Lite Brites Collection for 2016. Lilac with blue shimmer- visible on the nail. Looks like spring on the nails.
China Glaze What I Like About Blue- hmm, sea blue with golden shimmer, dries matte. When there is no top coat applied the strokes from the brush are visible. The application wasn’t the best experience- one coat is not enough, and when you put a second one it has to be very thick, otherwise 3 coats for leveling it…
I did some stamping using nail polishes from the Layla Mirror Effect range for the circles, and then topped it with some feathers.
The weather gets hotter so I decided to do a paisley gradient manicure with OPI, Barry M and some stamping. For that particular mani I used three OPI nail varnishes: OPI I Cannoli Wear OPI, Flamingo Tini Pink and You’re Such a Budapest. They are such nice muted pastel colors so I thought they are perfect for purpose especially when combined with a bright stamping.
For the paisley stamping I used Barry M Guava and Creative Shop Stamper.
OPI I Cannoli Wear OPI is from the Venice 2015 Collection and is a muted dusky light grey. I used it as the base for the whole project. Nice coverage and quite opaque with 2 coats.
OPI Flamingo Tini Pink is from the limited edition Hello Flamingo Collection and is a bubblegum pink pastel. Pretty nice tbh.
OPI You’re Such a Budapest– from the Spring 2013 Euro Centrale Collection. Dusky lilac greyish, kinda periwinkle? Gotta test it alone in a mani some day.
