Palms with ESSIE Viva Antigua! and ORLY Summer Sunset

ESSIE Viva Antigua! ORLY Summer Sunset16

Hello all,

Today’s mani is a typical summer one, with palms and seagulls and the beautiful ESSIE Viva Antigua! and ORLY Summer Sunset.

Essie viva antigua & orly summer sunset1

ESSIE Viva Antigua! is a vibrant blue turquoise shimmer from the Essie Summer 2016 Collection. Application was nice, smooth, and required 2 coats.

Essie viva antigua & orly summer sunset13 ORLY Summer Sunset  is a nice golden yellow with visible kinda orange rusty shimmer that makes the nail polish looked like a decayed gold. Very interesting shade from the Pacific Coast Highway2016 Collection. Application- not so bad but required 3 coats for not having VNL. Stayed for good 5 days until I changed the polish.

To spice it up I did some gradient and then stamping with palms and seagulls.

I don’t have anything similar to those 2 nail polishes in my stash so if you are in a search for nice vibrant summer colors- just grab them!

Summer nail art 2015- Essie Chillato & China Glaze Purple Panic

Good day!

Today’s summer nail art is made with Essie Chillato and China Glaze Purple Panic. Essie Chillato is from the Essie Summer 2015 Collection and is a yellow or more likely leaning towards pistachio creme. China Glaze Purple Panic is from the brand’s re-released Nervy Neons Collection which originates back from 2005. It is vibrant pink purple neon with subtle blue-ish shimmer.  IMG_0780  IMG_0782 IMG_0783 IMG_0785 IMG_0786 IMG_0788The application was ok. Essie Chillato needed 4 thin coats for complete cover while the China Glaze needed 2 but I put 3 and it also dried matte. I put on the top a fast drying top coat and on the fingers with the sponged nail art I applied one coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust. I didn’t have any issues with chipping or the longevity so the mani lasted until the next one :)

Sally Hansen Loden Green #820

Hello all,

Today I have a swatch of a nail polish that just says “autumn” :)Sally Hansen Loden Green. It was part of the Prabal Gurung for Sally Hansen Fall collection for 2013. It kicks into the military palette, as the color is exactly this type of olive green, military jacket green. The brush was wide, comfortable to apply on the nail. The nail polish wore well for 5, or 6 days, actually until I removed it, and I didn’t have any issues with chipping. The swatch is from 2 coats of Loden Green plus a top coat. And because it screamed “Army” to me, I decided to play a little, and made military style nail art on 2 of the nails. I used OPI Don’t Bossa Nova Me Around, Essie Thigh High, China Glaze Lug Your Designer Baggage, and Rescue Beauty Lounge Abi.
