Today’s mani is a typical summer one, with palms and seagulls and the beautiful ESSIE Viva Antigua! and ORLY Summer Sunset.
ESSIE Viva Antigua! is a vibrant blue turquoise shimmer from the Essie Summer 2016 Collection. Application was nice, smooth, and required 2 coats.
ORLY Summer Sunset is a nice golden yellow with visible kinda orange rusty shimmer that makes the nail polish looked like a decayed gold. Very interesting shade from the Pacific Coast Highway2016 Collection. Application- not so bad but required 3 coats for not having VNL. Stayed for good 5 days until I changed the polish.
To spice it up I did some gradient and then stamping with palms and seagulls.
I don’t have anything similar to those 2 nail polishes in my stash so if you are in a search for nice vibrant summer colors- just grab them!
Today I have a swatch of a nail polish that just says “autumn” – Sally Hansen Loden Green. It was part of the Prabal Gurung for Sally Hansen Fall collection for 2013. It kicks into the military palette, as the color is exactly this type of olive green, military jacket green. The brush was wide, comfortable to apply on the nail. The nail polish wore well for 5, or 6 days, actually until I removed it, and I didn’t have any issues with chipping. The swatch is from 2 coats of Loden Green plus a top coat. And because it screamed “Army” to me, I decided to play a little, and made military style nail art on 2 of the nails. I used OPI Don’t Bossa Nova Me Around, Essie Thigh High, China Glaze Lug Your Designer Baggage, and Rescue Beauty Lounge Abi.
I couldn’t find a dupe in my stash, so if you are into greens, or olive and military colors- better go get it!
